History Challenge Extreme!

This is Noor and her daughter Myrto, who you know from my story if you follow it. They are generation two and three in my legacy/History Challenge save. I love that challenge, and I have learned so much so far, and I am sure I will learn even more in the future. I just have one problem: it moves too fast!

Background
Noor came from the Stone Age and into Early Civilization, which in this case is Greek Bronze Age, i.e. the Minoan period. Jumping straight from the Minoans, which ended around 1100 BC, to the Middle Ages feels very, very strange. It is a logical break in the storytelling, so I would prefer a more natural transition.

The most important thing for me personally was always to make a legacy story, not to collect points in the challenge. So I have often broken the rules of the challenge to fit it better to the story. The History Challenge is a fantastic foundation for a legacy-based save and historical play, but from now on I will not rely on the categories it has, and drop most of the rules and restrictions, and instead follow my own course, with an expanded time perspective and with more natural transitions. It will be History Challenge the Extreme version!

Do you want to try it too?  Of course you can! You are very much welcome, and you will probably finish before me, because I'm a really slow player, as you probably have figured out by now. 😅

History Challenge Extreme

I have set up a first draft of time periods adapted to MY story, but if you want to make your own version you can of course do so. You will find an (almost) clean version, and my version, here.

History Challenge Extreme Sharing

I suggest using hashtag #HistoryChallengeExtreme or #HCE, but please tag me on tumblr or Bluesky if you were inspired by this, decide to do it and want me to see your progress.

This post might be updated later with twists and turns and tools and what not. 😊

Let the challenge begin!
