Serifos Village Apartments

Are your Sims looking for an affordable place to live? Serifos Village is a unique place with a social community where everyone helps each other while respecting each other's privacy. 

Once again I have been loosely inspired by villages on Greek islands, this time, as the name indicates, Serifos. Since my save is set in Early Civilization, the houses do not have the typical white appearance that they have today, but are built of natural stone. (In fact, the houses probably should have been even darker, if I were to stick to historical accuracy.) Whitewashing only became common in the 20th century. 

To allow more families to live here, I have divided the houses into "rental apartments." They are simply furnished to keep costs down, and one apartment consists of several houses (with one exception). There are five rentable units spread over 10 houses, as well as four houses used by the community.

The lot is custom built to match the original lot in Sulani (which is of course far too lush to resemble a Greek island, but these are the compromises simmers have to make). You can of course adapt it to a different lot if you wish. Disclaimer: Sims Apartments put extra strain on your computer, and the For Rent pack has several notorious, game-breaking bugs. This lot works fine in my game, but as always, use it at your own risk.

Very important: Make sure your lot is set to Residential Rental before you install this lot. (How? Enter an empty lot - Change the lot type to Residential Rental in the Lot Info Panel in Build Mode - Now open the Gallery and place the lot.)

There are also four buildings that are for shared use

- The mill: A mailroom/library/relaxation area on the ground floor, and upstairs there is a room with a loom (computer) and a punching bag.

- The bar: A place to meet for a drink or a game, two floors

- The workshop: A small workshop with a workbench and a laundry room (shower/WC)

- The public bath: A relaxing place for baths and more (bathtub/WC)

All cc used in this build is not included, due to creator's TOU or other practical reasons. A PDF with details and links for all CC is included. The included cc works in my game at the time of upload. In general there is an additional risk when downloading and installing folders from others, so you might want to download from the creator directly to be on the safe side and to be sure to have the latest, updated version. This is up to you.
