Seasonal dwellings were common for Norwegian farmers, in the 19th century, and to some extent, until after the Second World War. Usually the milkmaid stayed the whole summer in the small cottage, to take care of cows, goats and sheep, and made cheese and other milk products from the fresh milk. In modern times the shielings are used for outdoor activities and accommodations.

The sims enjoy the beautiful nature at Skogskogsetra all seasons, but especially in the summer. You might find, probably out of common laziness, they rather swim across the pond rather than walk around it, but hey - who can blame them - it is a lovely pond. To make it extra super-beautiful, click on one of the two reeds to spawn some very cute ducklings or dragonflies. Thanks Bakie, for this gorgeous CC! 😍 

The sims might also want to walk on the top of the mountain to look at the wonderful view. They can do that thanks to the hardworking sim-sherpas who have carved out stairs in the mountainside.
